Overview

The inside-frame safety chuck is mounted on the inner side of the machine frame. It holds the end of the air shaft and secures the shaft to the machine. It is available with two mounting options, slide-mounted and flange-mounted, so the connection can be matched to the frame design of your machine.

The chuck is designed with safe operation in mind: even if the operator forgets to lock it, it locks itself on the first turn. The outer surfaces are induction-hardened against impact, and the parts are protected with chrome and special coatings. Technical values, including load capacity, are listed in the table below.

Features

  • Mounted on the inner side of the frame
  • Slide-mounted and flange-mounted options
  • Locks itself on the first turn, even if the operator forgets
  • Induction-hardened outer surfaces for impact resistance
  • Parts protected with chrome and special coatings
  • Spare parts available; quick, easy fitting by our technicians

Applications

The inside-frame safety chuck is used with air shafts on winders and unwinders in packaging, printing, paper and plastic film lines. It suits machines where rolls are changed often and the shaft has to be located quickly and safely. Where the chuck must be mounted on the outer face of the frame, see our frame-mounted safety chuck.
